February 13^th, 2003 (12:00am) - Impact Pictures, with the creative team behind the Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat movies, has acquired the film rights for a feature film based off the Infogrames video game franchise, Driver. A script for the movie has already been completed by screenwriters Todd Jason Harthan and James Roday, with James Demonaco being brought in to polish it. The film, which is targeted for a Summer 2004 release, is being produced by Director Paul Anderson, who lead the Resident Evil and Mortal Kombat films, along with longtime partner Jeremy Bolt and Constatin Film head of production Robert Kulzer.
