February 14^th, 2003 (12:00am) - The world’s most famous professional BMX rider Dave Mirra is suing Acclaim for 21 million dollars. Mirra’s name and likeness was used in for the advertisement of BMX XXX, a game that was destined to be a piece of horse crap from the day the concept was conjured. The lawsuit was filed last week, because of Acclaim was still using Mirra’s name and likeness for promotion of the title, even though months before the game’s release he disassociated himself from the game entirely.

Gimmicks don’t always work… Acclaim learned the hard way.
