February 19^th, 2003 (12:00am) - Microsoft today confirmed that the first MechAssault download package would be made available on thursday.One of the most hotly anticipated downloadable content,the MechAssault update will contain two new multi- player maps, "Hell’s Kitchen" and "Stone Cold," as well as two new speedy BattleMechs,Raven and Corvus.

"We’d like to thank all of the MechAssault fans out there for their patience, and, enthusiasm. We can’t wait to release new content; and thus, bring the ass-kicking to the next level," said program manager Mitch Gitelman.

Pilot the most powerful weapon of the 31st century, a 40-foot tall walking tank called a BattleMech. MechAssault is a 3rd-person action/shooter, where environments are not only fully destructible, they’re your weapons.
