Sony Begins Stronger Online Emphasis
February 21st, 2003 (12:00am) - Sony Computer Entertainment will begin storefront sales of the PsBB unit in Japan this May. The hardware combines a Broadband adapter and HDD unit, and is presently only available via sonys E-Commerce site.
Sony has set the price at roughly $150 USD. The PsBB will be required to play Final Fantasy XI, and Nobunagas Ambition, as well as access sonys online content. Sony also plans to suspend royalty payments from third party developers. In order to add some sort of incentive to develop online titles.
