Metal Gear Solid on the GameCube!
February 28th, 2003 (12:00am) - Over the past few days there have been rumors flying across every kind of videogame forum saying that Metal Gear Solid would becoming the GameCube in some shape or form. These rumors surfaced when unconfirmed news of Nintendo’s own master game designer Shigeru Miyamoto was said to have been interviewed by a European gaming magazine while on his recent trip to Europe. Well, get ready for one bitch of a surprise because it is all true!
A Konami representative has just released this statement: "I might as be the first to tell you all. I can tell you that YES, just as Mr. Miyamoto stated, a metal gear game for the GC is in development, but honestly, that is all the info that is available. But this is what I was talking about when I said I cant wait for E3 (I dont know what info we will have there but there should be some more by then I would guess), and believe me, you guys cant wait either! So i know its not all of our hit franchises coming to cube, but it is one of our best and hottest ones and a deserving one at that. And who knows, if this game sells what it should, you may get your Castlevania and Contra yet!" That confirmation comes from the administrator at Konami’s official message forums, now hopefully the game will be a revamped version of the PSX’s Metal Gear Solid.
