February 28^th, 2003 (12:00am) - Reports are spreading across the net that not only is a new PS2 Grand Theft Auto game in the works, but that Rockstar is already at work on designs and ideas for a GTA game most likely for the "PS3". While the current generation GTA games will all run off of the mighty fine GTA3 engine, the next gen GTA is said to be a "true" sequel to GTA3 and will truly innovate the franchise.

This news come fresh off the announcement that the lastest installment of GTA, Vice City, has just topped 8.5 million copies sold in only 3 months. A truly amazing accomplishment. It comes as no suprise that Rockstar wants to put another GTA on the PS2. GTA is quickly becoming the most popular franchise around, and we’ll keep you posted on anything that develops.
