Final Fantasy X-2 shipped in massive quantities!
March 14th, 2003 (12:00am) - The Playstation 2 release of Final Fantasy X-2 is here. The game was released today and with its release approximately 1.8 million units of the title were shipped to retailers.
In anticipation for the game’s release, Square’s president Youichi Wada, Enix’s president Keiji Honda, and the theme song vocalist for the game’s opening track Koda Kumi were present at Shibuya Tsutaya for a count down event, where stores would begin selling the game at 6:30 AM. Mr. Wada mentioned that they decided to create a sequel to Final Fantasy X due to high demands from fans; the game has 40 - 100 hours gameplay, depending on how deep you want to get into the game.
