The Game Boy Advance Player gets delayed!
March 15th, 2003 (12:00am) - OH the HORROR!, THE HORROR!! If you’re like me, then you’re in anticipation of the coming release of the Game Boy Advance Player for the Nintendo GameCube. The GBA Player is one of the coolest hardware add-ons you can purchase for the Nintendo GameCube. Honestly, who doesn’t want to play the latest Game Boy Advance games on the big screen? Personally, I can’t wait to play Metroid Fusion on the big screen, but the add-on, which was once scheduled to be coming in May, has been delayed until June 23rd. But not only that, the price of the GBA Player has been jacked up to $49.99 from the original price of $39.99! Though, their might be a bit of strategy involved with the delay, Nintendo has been moving the dates of numerous game titles around, in order to avoid the “drought” of Nintendo 1st and 2nd party products after the release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. Hopefully, we will benefit from the delay; perhaps Nintendo will release the add-on in multiple colors instead of just Jet Black.
