April 22^nd, 2003 (12:00am) - EA didn’t allow the SSX series to take too long of a break.

Owners of EA Big’s NBA Street Vol 2 have probably by now found the video confirming SSX3 is in development. By selecting the "Inside Vol 2" video, gamers get to view a video showing a multitude of things, including a video of the upcoming snowboarding title.

Met with great praise and regarded by many to be the best PS2 launch title, SSX was a huge hit and spawned an immediate follow-up, SSX Tricky. Tricky was more like a fleshed out, deeper version of SSX than a true sequel, and EA Sports opted to let the developers have another year to make the game better, rather than pop out another yearly sequel, kind of like what they did with Street, only a longer wait. SSX is an arcade type snowboarding game, combining huge tracks loaded with jumps and short-cuts, responsive controls and boarders with personalities and voiced by real Hollywood actors. SSX3 is likely to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2003.
