Japanese weekly hardware and software sales charts (4/21 – 4/27)
May 1st, 2003 (12:00am) - Mediacreate’s weekly charts are in, and nothing has changed from the hardware and software performance we’re used to seeing. Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance SP continues to stay strong selling approximately 60,900 units putting itself in the top spot for the week, and like usual the PlayStation 2 is right on its tail. On the software front the debut of Nintendo and Skip Ltd’s RPG Giftpia sold 25, 900 units after only 3 days on the charts. But for a Nintendo title, and a game which scored an impressive 34/40 from the infamous Famitsu, the sales aren’t as good as Nintendo fans would like them to be. Hopefully, the game will make it stateside.
