New Controller Colors Revealed
May 11th, 2003 (12:00am) - Xbox fans overwhelmingly chose green and blue for the colors of new controllers to be unveiled May 14 at E3 (the Electronics Entertainment Exposition) trade show in Los Angeles. The voting was done via online survey on Xbox.com, and the new controllers will go on sale in October.

"Gamers have been asking us for new color options, so we thought it would be a great idea to not only give the people what they want, but also let them choose the colors for themselves," said Bill Nielsen, director of Xbox brand marketing. "When the results were tabulated green and blue were far and away the favorites so well release both those options. We anticipate many gamers will have a tough time deciding between the two."
The controllers will be sold separately for an estimated retail price of $29.99 and will join the black Xbox Controller S on retail shelves. Reported by Kyle Johnson on May 11th, 2003 (12:00am)
