Sega gets a new President…
May 19th, 2003 (12:00am) - The man currently behind the legendary SEGA, Hideki Sato, will “step down” as President of the company. Mr. Sato is being removed from his current position as President of Sega because he is being held responsible for both of the failed mergers between SEGA, Sammy, and Namco. However, Sato-san will still serve on the executive committee. Sato-san’s replacement will be Hisa Oguchi. Oguchi-san is the current CEO of SEGA’s Hitmaker development studio, once shareholder’s approve the move. "In the USA we will consider whether we create a new unit or whether we get involved in a partnership.
