May 21^st, 2003 (12:00am) - Prehaps only a few people may actually honestly say that they’ve played KOEI’s seemingly overlooked title Gitaroo Man, but those who have, still sing its praises. Since the
game’s release, Gitaroo Man has received the

following accolades:
-PSM Special Achievement Award for Most Bizarre Game
-GMR Treasure Hunter Classic
-Play Music/Rhythm 2002 Winner
-GameNow Phil Theobald Picks Best Music Game
-Spin Innovation Award for Music and Gaming
-SCEA Publisher’s Choice Award Original Funk Nominee

The first day of E3, KOEI was honored by Spin magazine with a shout-out to "All the Games that Rock," Spin magazine gave mad props to Gitaroo Man by honoring the title with the 2003 Innovation Award for Music and Gaming. Each of the Spin magazine award winners appears in the June 2003 issue, available on newsstands now.

Also of note, each year at E3, Sony Computer Entertainment America recognizes outstanding achievements in the creation of PlayStation®2
