3DO files for bankruptcy!

May 29th, 2003 (12:00am) - 3DO, the publisher of those terrible Army Men games, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. To many this is good news, because for one, we’ll never have to come across one of those terrible Army Men 3D games ever again. However, in the past year or two, 3DO has started developing some games, such as Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and an arcade style racer by the name of Street Racing Syndicate, which actually seemed like they would deliver a promising gaming experience. Baseball fans will probably be hurting the most. Since, oddly, 3DO publishes the best baseball game on the market today, High Heat Baseball 2004. High Heat Baseball 2004 was scheduled to be released for the GameCube later this month, however due to this dilemma it may never see the light of day.

Trip Hawkins, the company’s CEO, is looking for a buyer, either for the entire company or any of its smaller developers. Chances are some of 3DO’s small developers will be picked up, since the 3DO name could only help tarnish another.

The world has been finally ridden of those terrible Army Men games…

Na na na na,
Na na na na,
Ohh Hell Yeah…Good bye!

Na na na na,
