Super Famicom Retires!
May 30th, 2003 (12:00am) - Retail sources in Japan today reported that Nintendo has decided to bring production of the Famicom and Super Famicom to a halt. The japanese equal of NES & SNES. The first Super Famicom had been in production for more than 10 years, and the redesigned Super Famicom Jr. for 5 or 6. However, not only has Nintendo finally decided to pull those two consoles from the market. The original Famicom launched in Japan on July 15, 1983. Only 11 days before I was born. And were both turning 20 years old. Makes a guy wanna cry. ~ditto~ Reported by Osei Tyson on May 30th, 2003 (12:00am)
