Nintendo Gets ACCESS To Cube Online!
June 13th, 2003 (12:00am) - Nintendo has signed a worldwide agreement with Internet software architects ACCESS to provide online game development tools for the GameCube. Reportedly, the tools will be based on ACCESS specialized TCP/IP protocol dubbed "AVE/TCP." The first GameCube titles expected to utilize the new technology will be Konamis "Pawafuru Puroyakyu 10" in July and Segas "Phantasy Star Online: Episode III" in August. Terms of the middleware agreement and future titles expected to incorporate the online tools remain undisclosed.
