Update On Acclaim’s GameCube Support
June 24th, 2003 (12:00am) - The report earlier about Acclaim essentially canning any future GameCube titles, was taken out of context, well according to Acclaim. Initially, Acclaim Entertainment CEO Rod Cousens said that Acclaim would not support the GameCube anymore after the release of XGRA, Urban Freestyle Soccer, and Legends of Wrestling III. Well, that is not the case. What is really going to happen is that Acclaim, much like Sega, will re-evaluate which titles to put on each console. However, in my opinion, it would be much wiser to develop games that don’t suck. Now there’s a smart business move!
