One Piece: Grand Battle Sequel In Development
July 4th, 2003 (12:00am) - You may be asking yourself “What the hell is One Piece?” I guess there’s a good reason for that. One Piece is one of those Japanese manga and animes that may never make it overseas. However, in Japan it’s quite popular, and whenever something is popular, especially in Japan, expect a video game based on it to be right around the corner. Well, that was the case with One Piece. Early last year, Bandai released two games based on the series, one a Cel Shaded fighter for the GameCube, the other a 2D fighter for the Game Boy Advance. Both were received very well by game critics and the Japanese public, and today we can reveal that Bandai is already in development with a third One Piece: Grand Battle game for the GameCube, and as well as the PlayStation 2.
