Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Famicom Themed Game Boy Advance SP
July 14th, 2003 (12:00am) - If you’re trying to keep count of how many Special Edition Game Boy Advance models Nintendo has revealed or announced only within the past year, I suggest you just give up now because it seems to never stop.
In homage to the Famicom, Nintendo’s first home console, which first saw the light of day more than twenty years ago, Nintendo will be manufacturing a limited edition Game Boy Advance with a theme based on the original Japanese design and color palette of the Famicom game system. However, this Game Boy Advance can only be won in a special “lottery”. In other words, gamers in Japan will have to buy certain game software in order to enter themselves into this “lottery”, and a few lucky ones will walk away with this funky colored GBA SP. Sorry folks. Like most cool video game promotions, this is Japan only.
