The Castle of Shikigami II Announced For the Nintendo GameCube
July 21st, 2003 (12:00am) - Was Treasure’s Ikaruga enough to satisfy GameCube owners with that gaming thirst for old school 2D shooters? Well, even if it was, get ready for more because Alpha Systems is bringing over The Castle of Shikigami II exclusively to the Nintendo GameCube this October 24th in Japan. The Castle of Shikigami II is the NAOMI arcade board port of the sequel to The Castle of Skikigami which came stateside on the PlayStation 2 as Mobile Light Force II. The game was originally planned to appear on the Xbox, but due to poor sales of the console in Japan and as well as a poll, where fans voted to which console they would like the game to appear on, caused Alpha Systems to port the game to the GameCube. Hopefully, just like Ikaruga, Atari will publish The Castle of Shikigami II stateside.
