July 22^nd, 2003 (12:00am) - Last week GamersMark.com informed readers than Shenmue III had been confirmed to be in development, and not only that, but the game would also come in a Special Edition package which includes the previous two games in the saga. Many thought this news was too good to be true, they were right. Sega of Europe has confirmed that this news found on AM2’s official site was nothing but a letter from a fan with wishful thinking. So, you could say that the news was misinterpreted. Sega of Europe has also clarified that Shenmue III has not been confirmed to be in development, and once again it is suspect that it may never even see the light of day.
