Yu Suzuki Leaves AM2

Yu Suzuki, the gaming guru behind games and game series such as Outrun, Virtua Fighter, and Shenmue, has left the SEGA game studio he made famous, AM2, to break off and form his own development studio. Luckily, his franchises will follow him as well. This news comes from the recently inaugurated SEGA president Hisao Oguchi, who plans to make Yu Suzuki’s new studio part of his restructuring movement at SEGA, which plans to reduce the third party’s development studios to 5 from the original 9.
