N-Gage sponsors at a Int. games festival

August 6th, 2003 (12:00am) - The first ever chance for UK consumers to get hands on with the Nokia N-Gage

Nokia N-Gage will use the Edinburgh International Games Festival consumer event, ’Go Play Games’ to offer UK gamers an exclusive opportunity to get hands on with the N-Gage game deck, two months before it is globally launched on 7 October.

Visitors to the event who play on the N-Gage can take part in a high score competition, with a top prize of an N-Gage game deck and loads of smaller gifts of exclusive and never seen before, N-Gage merchandise. There will also be the chance to trial the bluetooth capabilities of the N-Gage, playing against friends in the custom built N-Gage arena.

Alison Brolls, Head of Marketing, Nokia UK said ’The Edinburgh International Games Festival is an ideal platform from which to give UK Consumers their first ever chance to get hands on with the most exciting development ever in mobile gaming – the N-Gage. We believe that the N-Gage will create a real buzz amongst those who are lucky enough to get tickets for this event and our presence will help make this inaugural year of the EIGF a great success.’

Hot on the heels of ’Go Play Games’ comes the N-Gage Tour, arriving in the UK on 29 August and visiting Newcastle, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and London – giving consumers even more opportunities to get to test drive the N-Gage, and enter the challenge to find the best N-Gage player in Europe.

’Go Play Games’ runs from 11-18 August at the Edinburgh Royal Museum. Look out for N-Gage staff on the streets of Edinburgh offering you the chance to enter an exclusive prize draw to win a Nokia N-Gage.
