Capcom cancels Red Dead Revolver and Dead Phoenix
 August 12th, 2003 (12:00am) - After months of speculation it has finally been confirmed that Dead Phoenix, the GameCube’s Panzer Dragoon Orta-like shooter, has been canned along with another “Dead” game, the PlayStation 2’s Read Dead Revolver. This news comes from GameSpot, who was nice enough to contact Capcom of Japan to ask why these games were removed from Capcom’s Official website and release lists.
For those who are disappointed in the cancellation of the GameCube’s Dead Phoenix, rumor has it that Nintendo has asked Capcom to transform Dead Phoenix into a next generation Kid Icarus-based 3D shooter. However, this, like most rumors started by hopeful Nintendo fans, is unlikely.
