Eidos Not to Publish Free Radical’s TimeSplitters 3

September 5th, 2003 (12:00am) - Yesterday, Eidos Interactive announced their company earnings for the year which ended on June 2003. In one of their statements the European publisher announced that they will not be publishing the third installment in Free Radical’s TimeSplitters game series, ending their long relationship with the talented developer.

TimeSplitters 2, the highly acclaimed first person shooter released last year, was easily one of Eidos’ best (if not best) games released last holiday season. Not continuing their publishing deal with Free Radical is a foolish one…

Seeing how Free Radical owns the rights to the title, they are currently searching the market for a publisher. All speculation points towards Activision, seeing how they are publishing a survival horror-like game currently in development by Free Radical.
