Nintendo Gains Some Shares in Bandai
October 16th, 2003 (12:00am) - According to Famitsu magazine, the renowned Japanese video game publication, Nintendo has purchased 2.7% of Bandai’s stock shares. The purchase took place near the end of September, when Bandai’s stocks had split. Now, Nintendo is one of the company’s top ten shareholders.
It’s not known whether this will further affect Bandai’s relationship with Nintendo. Bandai is known for developing many promising multi-platform anime-based video games, with many already on Nintendo’s consoles and on the way.
