Wakeboarding Unleashed Available Now For PC & Mac
December 22nd, 2003 (12:00am) - Action sports game fanatics everywhere are able to experience Activision Inc.s Wakeboarding Unleashed featuring Shaun Murray on PC and Macintosh. Aspyr Media Inc. announced that the game began shipping today. The game was licensed from Activision, and conversions were completed by Beenox Inc.
With a ton of innovative objectives, the game gives players the option to take control of the speedboat, compete in a variety of competitions and unlock secret challenges. The unique Rope Mechanics(tm) enable players to let go of the rope in order to find secret areas and venture into unexplored territory. Gamers can then grab a hold of the rope again to continue exploring exciting new areas. The game features groundbreaking water graphics including particle and wake formation effects with realistic shapes and appearances. There are nine levels of action, complete with tournament-style challenges. Each level features interactive objectives such as boat races, water balloon battles and ferrying stranded animals around a flooded city. The real world locations from Hong Kong Harbor to Lake Powell provide ideal destinations for world-class wakeboarders Shaun Murray, Parks Bonifay, Dallas Friday, Tara Hamilton, Cobe Mikacich, Darin Shapiro and Colin Wright to show off their unique moves. Gamers can play with each other in co-op mode where one player controls the rider while the other controls the boat, or tug-of-war mode where players dominate the other wakeboarders by taking their extra rope. Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray is rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB and is available at retailers nationwide. Reported by Dan Blomberg on December 22nd, 2003 (12:00am)
