Ed Fries Says Goodbye Too Microsoft.
 January 13th, 2004 (12:00am) - Earlier today, Microsoft sent out a notice that Ed Fries, former vice president of games publishing, is no longer with Microsoft. As of now, for reasons unknown, Ed Fries turned in his resignation to Microsoft after eighteen years of duty under the guys who have given us the Xbox. Until a true replacement can be found, Shane Kim, Ed’s top lieutenant, will be acting in his place as chief of Microsoft Game Studios.
