Syberia II Gets Publisher In XS Games

January 16th, 2004 (12:00am) - XS Games, in conjunction with Jack of all games (a subsidiary of Take 2), and Microïds have reached a distribution agreement for the publishing and distribution of three different titles from Microïds’ 2004 catalogue, including the sequel to the Adventure Game of 2002, Syberia II.

Within the agreement, XS Games will hold, for North America, the exclusive publishing and distribution rights for:

Syberia II - PC and Xbox - Developed by Microïds Canada
Obscure (working title) - PC, PS2 and Xbox - Developed by Hydravision
Knight’s Apprentice, Memorick’s Adventures (working title)- Xbox - Developed by Microïds Canada

"These are three high quality titles XS Games will be publishing and exclusively distributing via Take 2’s Jack of All Games insuring a strong presence at retail across North America" said Steve Grossman, CEO of XS Games. "Our first collaboration with Microïds (Syberia Xbox) has been very successful and we are anticipating great success with these upcoming titles."

"In the last few years, Microïds Canada has established itself as a quality developer, especially in the Adventure genre," stated Emmanuel Olivier, CEO of Microïds. "This partnership with XS Games and Take 2’s Jack of All Games will allow our games to benefit from the best distribution, therefore enhancing our public notoriety and the awareness around our products."
