Massive Patch Now Available for Stormclooud Creations’ Coliseum
January 26th, 2004 (12:00am) - Coliseum, the latest game from Stormcloud Creations and Shrapnel Games, has just been patched to version 1.5. The patch is available for download directly from the Shrapnel Games website and may be found here, at http://www.shrapnelgames.com/stormcloud/coliseum/6.htm
The version 1.5 patch weighs in at 5.5 MB and includes a number of bug corrections, tweaking of gameplay, and it even adds some new features. It is important to note that unfortunately the patch is NOT compatible with previous save games, which will be lost when the patch is applied. While by no means an exhaustive list, the following are a sampling of the changes brought about the application of the patch. Bug Fixes Various miscellaneous corrections to CPU warriors and team management, such as clearing the wrong set of CPU stats if a CPU fighter retired early.Head-to-head losses were not always tallied properly, this now works as it should. Odd button issues resolved, like the Exit Arena button staying lit.Game tweaksEnchantments can now have a negative impact on your warriors in the long run, just like overexposure to potions.Chance of death is slightly lower, allowing aging to be more of a factor. Some interface modifications.New Features Full season fatigue, meaning players will now have to monitor their fighters stamina over the course of a season, making sure to properly rest their most active gladiators. Can choose between 20, 30, or 40 day seasons when creating a new league.Tournament playoff champions are recorded in a "Tome of Champions".The above are just some of the fixes, enhancements, and new features added to Coliseum. There are many more found in the patch, which once again, will invalidate old save games. For more information on Coliseum, please visit http://www.shrapnelgames.com/stormcloud/coliseum/1.htm
