‘Undeniably Addictive’, Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc Hits Retai

February 10th, 2004 (12:00am) - Enlight, a leading entertainment software developer and publisher, announced today that its highly anticipated title Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc is now available in retail stores across North America. Inspired by the legendary story of Joan of Arc, Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc sends players to medieval France to experience the most epic battles of the Hundred Years War.

In 1429, Joan of Arc inspired her faltering country to unite and retaliate against the occupying English troops. Driven by the general’s passion, the French gained the confidence and courage to reclaim their nation.

Referred to as "undeniably addictive" by the gaming enthusiast website AVault.com, Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc challenges players to balance an exciting blend of action, strategy and role-playing elements as they take on the fight to liberate France. Features include four player-controlled characters complete with units, intense campaign based missions and the ability to acquire a variety of medieval weaponry including arbalests, trebuchets, cannons, and explosive arrows. Whether besieging castles with massive armies or defeating militias in hack and slash combat, players will continuously be immersed in the brutality of medieval warfare.

"We set high standards and pushed the envelope in blending the action and strategy genres to create an entirely different style of gameplay," said Trevor Chan, chief executive officer of Enlight. "Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc offers a new twist to war games and gives players a first hand look into the chaos of this time period."

Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc showcases a brand new state-of-the-art graphics engine. The medieval French countryside with its forests, valleys, rolling hills and villages sets the stage for hours of gut wrenching action.

Wars and Warriors: Joan of Arc is being published by Enlight Interactive, and is priced at $39.99.
