Dominions II Patched to Version 2.08
 February 16th, 2004 (12:00am) - Illwinter Game Design and Shrapnel Games would like to announce that a new patch is available for the hit fantasy title, Dominions II: The Ascension Wars. The second official patch for the award-winning game brings the release up to version 2.08, and is available for download at the Shrapnel Games website, specifically at http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/d2/6.htm
This second patch, much like the first, fixes a number of bugs but more importantly gives fans of the game a slew of new enhancements. A complete listing of bug fixes and changes can be found on the website, but here are a few highlights: * The number of starting provinces is now selectable. * Lots of modding possibilities: armor, weapon, spell, and more! * Support for resolutions up to 2400x1800! * Light lance, a brand new spanking weapon. * Can connect to name IP addresses for multiplayer action. * Windows version slightly faster thanks to several upgrades to Microsoft’s C-
compiler. * Eyeless beings can’t lose eyes (d’oh!). * Various typos corrected. * Lots more.
