New ATF: Armored Task Force Patch Available

February 26th, 2004 (12:00am) - Shrapnel Games and ProSIM would like to announce that ATF: Armored Task Force has a new patch available for download. The latest patch brings ATF up to version 1.04 and may be downloaded directly from Shrapnel Games at http://www.shrapnelgames.com/prosim/atf/6.htm. The demo has also been upgraded to version 1.04.

As one would expect from a patch it exterminates a few bugs that have unfortunately up to this point managed to be, while minor, elusive. For example, the open carrier graphics are now much more stable than found in previous versions. Additionally, ProSIM has given computer warriors a few more enhancements to help make the ATF experience even more enjoyable. There are many new improvements in the map creation software for budding scenario designers, and in terms of gameplay changes you can now breach terrain. This is just a small sampling of the patch’s upgrades.

The patch is all inclusive, meaning that if you haven’t gotten around to installing one or more of the earlier upgrades you don’t have to worry, simply install this patch. You don’t need to follow an upgrade path. No muss, no fuss!

If besides having not gotten around to installing the previous patches you haven’t even gotten around to purchasing this intense look at modern warfare be sure to check out the demo, located on the same page as the patch. It has also been updated to reflect the current state of the game.

In other ProSIM news the upcoming project about the early ’80s war in the Falklands Islands (aka Malvinas Islands) will now be called The Falklands War 1982. Development is coming along nicely, and it should meet its 2005 release date.
