Konami Ships Firefighter F.D. 18 for the PS2

March 9th, 2004 (12:00am) - Konami Digital Entertainment - America, a division of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc., today announced that Firefighter F.D.18 for the PlayStation 2 has shipped to retail outlets nationwide. Packing the excitement and tension of battling real-life infernos into the ultimate firefighting game, Firefighter F.D.18 places players in the heat of the action as they unravel the mystery of random eruptions of fire throughout a sprawling metropolis.

In the game, players will assume the role of firefighter Dean McGregor to uncover the identity of a serial arsonist setting fires to the beautiful city of Port Serena. As one of the bravest firemen at Port Serena FD18, players will step into the boots of a modern day hero, as they hunt down the culprit responsible for the rampant fires. Along the way, players will run into an eclectic group of individuals including Emilie Arvin, an exuberant TV reporter looking for the inside scoop on the recent crimes, and Jason Hunt, a mysterious research worker at Cyclone Networks who may have more insight into the explosions in the city than he leads on.

Firefighter F.D. 18 recreates real-life fires including dangerous backdrafts and flashovers. In addition to blazing fires, players will overcome obstacles such as smoke, gas, explosive chemicals and environmental dangers that lurk throughout the city. In order to rescue civilians, players will utilize a wide range of firefighting equipment from water hoses to the IFEX impulse gun.

Firefighter F.D. 18 is rated T for Teen by the Entertainment Software Association and is available for an SRP of $39.99. To learn more about Firefighter F.D.18 visit http://www.konami.com/firefighter.
