Paper Mario 2 Confirmed for the GameCube
March 31st, 2004 (12:00am) - In an upcoming issue of Famitsu Weekly, Paper Mario 2 will officially be unveiled for the GameCube.
Known as Mario Story 2 in Japan, Paper Mario 2 is the first GameCube game Nintendo’s Intelligent Systems has developed for the platform. The sequel will showcase the same graphical style as the Nintendo 64 original, featuring 2D characters in a 3D world, and will include new additions to gameplay, such as the ability for Mario to transform himself into a paper airplane in order to fly. No other details are available at the current time.
