Terror Threat prompts PS2 Game Name Change
April 21st, 2004 (12:00am) - In2Games, a company scheduled to launch the new and “revolutionary” Gametrak 3D control system for PS2 in Q3 this year, today announced a change of name for the launch title, previously codenamed Black Wind. Henceforth, the first-person beat-em-up game will now be known as Gametrak: Dark Wind.
The name change was prompted by a statement made by a terrorist group linked to Al Qaeda, which spoke of a "Black Wind of death" against the west. In order to avoid potentially negative publicity for the product, its distributors and retailers, In2Games has taken the decision to change the name at this early stage.
