Strategy First Signs Chaos League for North America
April 26th, 2004 (12:00am) - Publisher Strategy First announced today that it will be bringing Chaos League, a fantasy sports game that combines strategy with hard-hitting action from French developer Cyanide, to the North American market. Chaos League is scheduled to ship in North America in Q2 2004 for the PC. The game has not yet been rated. “Chaos League features unbelievable sports action,” said Don McFatridge, President of Strategy First Inc. “The brutality, ferocity and intensity of this game paired with RTS elements that force players to use their skills and spells to plot their next big play make it a unique, action-packed addition to the PC market.” "We are delighted to be working with Strategy First on Chaos League. They have proven their strength at publishing strategy titles and we felt they were the ideal partner for the release of an original title like Chaos League in North America," says Patrick Pligersdorffer, CEO of Cyanide. Chaos League combines sports, fantasy and brutal, chaotic action on a playing field where the primary objectives are typical but the gameplay is anything but. Players must score points, win games, advance to championship rounds, and of course compete for the ultimate trophy, but Chaos League serves up some extra excitement with its absence of rules, corrupt referees and mythical, powerful opponents. Chaos League features 10 different games with 70 players to choose from, including monsters, star players and mythical creatures. Players can use 170 different spells and skills to score points in several gameplay modes including solo mode, career mode and multiplayer mode. Chaos League will premiere at this year’s E3 Expo May 12-14th at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Strategy First will be in West Hall, Booth 2208.
