New WWE Games from THQ

May 5th, 2004 (12:00am) - While THQ has only listed the GameCube’s WWE: Day of Reckoning for an E3 appearance in the lineup revealed just earlier this week, today we can confirm that THQ has a WWE title in development for every platform.

The WWE returns to the PlayStation 2 with WWE SmackDown! Vs. RAW. In this latest grappler by developer Yukes Entertainment has improved the visuals, giving the game a more realistic look, added new gameplay modes, and expectedly enhanced the games story mode, which this time revolved around RAW superstars invading SmackDown! events and vice versa.

For the Xbox, the WWE returns with WWE WrestleMania XXI. With RAW developer Anchor removed from the development of any future WWE titles for the Xbox, Tao Feng developer Studio Gigante has picked where Anchor left off. At the moment no other details are available.

Lastly, WWE Survivor Series for the Game Boy Advance. With this latest handheld iteration of portable grapplers, THQ plans to improve on every aspect featured in its predecessors.

Unfortunately DO NOT expect any of these mentioned games to be unveiled at E3 next week. Only WWE: Day of Reckoning for the GameCube is scheduled for an appearance.
