New Ace Combat 5 Screens Released
May 28th, 2004 (12:00am) - Namco Hometek Inc. announced today the availability of new screenshots for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War, the company’s premiere air combat game. The new screens offer a look at several aircraft in combat, including air-to-air, air-to-land and air-to-sea. In addition, several screens allow for a detailed look at the amazingly detailed planes inside the hanger and also provide a peek at the engrossing cinematic sequences. Developed by Namco Limited in Japan, ACE COMBAT 5 will ship exclusively for the PlayStation 2 in Fall 2004.
Ace Combat 5 combines ultra-realistic graphics and dog fighting with the powerful excitement of commanding a squadron to deliver the most explosive title yet in the Ace Combat series. Offering more than 50 licensed planes and an intense storyline extending over 30 missions, players are put to the ultimate test with air-to-air combat, air-to-ground fighting, air-to-sea assaults, rescue, recon and more. With Ace Combat 5, players will be able to feel the frenetic sense of urgency with Wingman Command, issuing directives to wingmen mid-mission and carrying out carefully choreographed group attacks. Dynamic battle sequences complemented by in-game radio communications with the squadron and enemies add realism and intensity.
