Zelda Confirmed for the Nintendo DS
June 7th, 2004 (12:00am) - Few doubted the possibility of a Zelda game making its way to the Nintendo DS. The only questions that existed were when this would happen and whether or not the game would be a port of the Nintendo 64’s Ocarina of Time. Well, thanks to an interview conducted with Zelda director Eiji Aonuma and GameSpy’s Steven Kent, we can now confirm that there indeed is a Zelda game in development for the Nintendo DS. However, no information other than the game’s existence has been revealed.
Here’s an excerpt from the interview: GameSpy: How many Link games are under way right now? Aonuma: Three. We have a Game Boy Advance Zelda, a DS Zelda, and this GameCube one. GameSpy: The DS game has not been announced. Aonuma: That is correct. It is something for the future. GameSpy: Does it have a title? Aonuma: There is no name yet. We dont even have a name for this one (the adult Link) yet. The Legend Continues…
