True Game Boy Advance Successor Still In Planning
June 19th, 2004 (12:00am) - With the strong support of the Nintendo DS from Nintendo and developers, many have begun to believe that the Nintendo DS is the true successor to the Game Boy Advance, despite previous statements from Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata which stated otherwise. However, Nintendo of Europe’s David Gosen went on to say at the recent ELSPA Games Summit that "new Game Boy iterations are under review right now, before the first DS is sold.”
Gosen also stated that the release of the next Game Boy depends on the success of the Nintendo DS. Right now Gosen believes that only ten percent of Nintendo’s current handheld audience will purchase the Nintendo DS.
