June 19^th, 2004 (12:00am) - Teams Denuo Convena and XGMR have emerged victorious from a field of 120 teams, comprised of more than 1,000 players, from the United States Ragnarok Championship (USRC) online qualifying tournament. The two teams are now ready to battle at the Anime Expo in Anaheim, Calif., on Sunday, July 4, 2004 to decide which will be crowned United States Ragnarok Champion.

Both teams will receive an all-expense paid trip to Seoul, Korea where they will compete against challengers from 18 countries. The world champions will receive a team prize of $10,000. A total of $64,000 will be awarded during the competition.

Gravity Interactive, developer of Ragnarok Online, is one of the first major companies to sponsor a major massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) e-sports competition.

Team Denuo Convena is comprised of: Jeffrey Maxwell, Teresa Koler, Brian Donnell, Hugh Nguyen, Stephen Miller, Julian Tran, Dustin Dean, Robert Yee and Trevor Ma. Team XGMR is comprised of: Allison Helwig, Rory Forsythe, Chen Gu (Tina), Jason Ang, Matt Wiseman, David Henderson, Brian Phasawahana, Yin Wu and William Flynn.
