July 2nd, 2004 (12:00am) - Sammy Studios is proud to present 19 new screenshots from its upcoming PlayStation 2 stealth action game, “Spy Fiction.” With its unprecedented identity assumption system that allows players to take on the appearance of any character in the game, and an exciting mix of espionage and action, the game brings the genre out of the shadows. “Spy Fiction” is slated for release in September 2004 and is rated M for Mature.
“Spy Fiction” follows Team Phantom, a group of specially trained agents working for the underground intelligence Special Execution Agency (S.E.A.) as they attempt to thwart Enigma, a ruthless terrorist organization planning to wipe out the earth’s population with a lethal virus. Featuring a host of original weapons and gadgets including the revolutionary 3DA camera that allows players to assume the identity of any character in the game, “Spy Fiction” includes open-ended missions and action-oriented mini-games that immerse the player in the game’s story. The screens released today include newly revealed bosses from the terrorist group Enigma, along with new shots of playable characters Bishop and Sheila and other key operatives from S.E.A. Team Phantom. The variety of characters highlight the engaging premise behind “Spy Fiction,” inspired by memorable works of fiction from the spy genre, as well as the depth to which players can take the game’s dynamic I.D. theft system. It also showcases the amazing character design of anime illustrator Renji Murata, best known for his work on “The Last Exile I and II.” Reported by Christian Van Meurs on July 2nd, 2004 (12:00am) [From: GamersMark Network]
