Atlus Developing Five Titles for the Nintendo DS
July 28th, 2004 (12:00am) - IGN’s Game Boy sector has revealed that popular Japanese developer and publisher Atlus is planning to release five titles for the Nintendo DS in Japan. The mentioned game titles are as follows: Shin Megamitensei DS - An RPG based on their extremely popular franchise (in Japan). Snowboard Kids DS – A possible sequel or port of the Nintendo 64 racer Snowboard Kids. Choro Q DS – A customizable racing title geared for the younger gaming crowd. Jinsei DS - A board game Caduceus – A completely original title; details on this one are scarce."Our expertise is RPGs, and [with the DS], it becomes possible to develop interesting titles unlike anything before. For example, we can do such things as having the whole game field displayed on one screen while the other screen shows closeup of the player character," stated the company. Unfortunately, for gamers overseas, the chances of these titles making their way outside of Japan are slim.
