Dragon Warrior VIII Media Overload!
 July 30th, 2004 (12:00am) - Most American gamers aren’t too familiar with the Dragon Warrior franchise, but after seeing these screenshots most will want to be. Think of it as Enix’s equivalent to Square’s Final Fantasy series before both companies merged.
The newest installment, titled simply Dragon Warrior VIII, will be the first in the series to be fully rendered in 3d, and cell shaded to boot! And what could go better with cell shading than some great character designs, and Akira Toryiyama (Dragonball Z) is there to provide just that. Square-Enix is trying their hardest to get Dragon Warrior VIII out the door by Christmas in Japan; a U.S. release won’t be until 2005.
