Sony Signs Publishing Agreement with Evolution Studios
August 16th, 2004 (12:00am) - SCEE has announced that the they have entered a publishing agreement with Evolution Studios, guaranteeing high-profile exclusive game titles for Sony’s current and future platforms. "Weve enjoyed an unparalleled working relationship with Evolution Studios over the past 4 years," according to SCEEs executive Vice President for development, Phil Harrison, "and the quality of their work on the WRC franchise can be measured by the millions of loyal fans who love the series. This strategic alliance allows our organizations to work even more closely together as we prepare for the combined challenges of new formats and expanded game design horizons." Evolution Studios is a UK-based developer known for its World Rally Championship series. Currently, the developer is working on a fourth WRC title for the PlayStation 2 (scheduled for release this October), while one of its satellite studios is rumored to be in development with an unknown title for the PSP.
