GoldenEye DS Based On Nintendo 64 Classic

August 25th, 2004 (12:00am) - GameCube Advanced is reporting that their close contacts at Electronic Arts have revealed the first handful of details concerning the previously announced GoldenEye for the dual-screen Nintendo DS handheld. According to their contacts, the title is exclusive to Nintendo’s handheld, being heavily based on Rare’s blockbuster Nintendo 64 classic, while featuring a multiplayer mode capable of handling up to 8 – 16 players at a time with the inclusion of Wi-Fi Internet play being very likely. However, it is unknown is whether or not the game is being developed from scratch or based on the original engine. Logic would point towards an all new original engine, but at the current moment, none of this information is a sure thing.

More as it comes…
