New Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Screenshots
August 27th, 2004 (12:00am) - Bandai is proud to present eight new screenshots from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, its upcoming PlayStation 2 action game based on the seminal anime series by Masamune Shirow. Featuring a stunning 3D game world and over 20 minutes of breathtaking CGI, the game allows players to assume the role of Major Kusanagi as she shoots her way through an army of tough as nails enemies.
Gamers can experience the lushly detailed anime world of Newport City as one of several playable characters, including Motoko Kusanagi herself, Section 9 officer Batou or the quadruped enforcement droid, Tachikoma. Wielding more than 15 different weapons, players can immerse themselves in the games thrilling story mode or challenge their friends in multiplayer mayhem for up to four players. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex also allows players to hack into the minds of fallen enemies, computers and machinery to defeat the villainous hordes that oppose them and gain insight into the games detailed storyline. Slated for a November 2004 release, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is not yet rated by the ESRB and retails at $49.99.
