August 31^st, 2004 (12:00am) - Illwinter Game Design have been hard at work conjuring the latest improvements to their hit fantasy strategy title, Dominions II: The Ascension Wars. These improvements, along with a handful of corrections to some minor glitches, make up the brand new patch now available through Shrapnel Games. The patch, which brings Dominions II: The Ascension Wars up to version 2.13, can be downloaded at http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/d2/6.htm.

This latest patch is fully compatible with the previous patch (version 2.12), but it is strongly encouraged that if you are in the middle of a multiplayer game everyone should upgrade simultaneously to avoid any strange gameplay issues. Installing the patch is quick, easy, and painless, so there’s absolutely no reason not to update your copy.

* Implementation of basic magical item modding.

* Improved cheat detection, a must have enhancement for tournament games!

* Provinces will only suffer floods during summer, and only if they are a fresh water province.

* A bow could be used even after one arm was lost. This has been corrected.
