Viewtiful Joe Anime Coming to North America and Europe?

September 9th, 2004 (12:00am) - A week ago we revealed that Capcom’s Viewtiful Joe would be reaching superstar status with the launch of an anime launching in Japan on October 2nd. Well, at an exhibition held on Monday to promote the anime, TV Tokyo producer Susumu Matsuyama had expressed his interest in bringing the series over to North America and Europe due to a huge positive reaction concerning the game’s translation into an anime. At this exhibition, Capcom also unveiled a new female character set to become a staple in the franchise by the name of Sprocket. Unfortunately, this information isn’t anything close to a possible confirmation of the anime reaching overseas, yet, like mentioned in our previous report, due to the popularity of the series in North America, and successful runs of the Street Fighter II and Mega Man animated shows, it is very likely that we will see the Viewtiful Joe anime on North American and European airwaves.
